The Lung Cancer Foundation of America's mission is to save lives by dramatically increasing the five-year survival rates for all stages of lung cancer, the nation's leading cause of cancer deaths for both men and women. The LCFA will accomplish this by providing the necessary and critical funding for creative and leading edge lung cancer research programs.

LCFA Lung Cancer Research Grant

Because of your generous contributions, LCFA is very excited to announce its first scientific research grant. In partnership with the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), the LCFA Lung Cancer Research Grant will award $125,000 for research opportunities for molecular analysis of bio-specimens (blood, tissue, urine, etc.) collected as part of medium to large clinical trials. Applications are now being accepted and are due on 1/31/10. The winner will be selected during the annual IASLC meeting in February 2010. For more information go to www.iaslc.org/announcements.asp.
