As the nation’s largest philanthropy devoted exclusively to eradicating lung cancer, BJALCF works with a diverse group of physicians, organizations and individuals to identify solutions and make timely and meaningful change through research, early detection, education, prevention, and treatment.

A BREATH OF HOPE

A Breath of Hope’s vision is to be a leading contributor to the cure of cancer by focusing on lung cancer treatments. Their mission is to fight lung cancer by funding innovative research, promoting community involvement through education and patient support.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF LUNG CANCER

The IASLC has worked since 1974 to promote research into all aspects of lung cancer and thoracic malignancies, as well as encouraging worldwide cancer prevention efforts.

JENI FUND

The Jeni Fund for Women’s Lung Cancer Research was founded in February 2002 in memorial for Jenifer Saltzman. Jeni died at the age of 51 after a gallant battle against lung cancer.

LUNG CANCER ALLIANCE

The Lung Cancer Alliance is dedicated solely to advocating for people living with lung cancer or those at risk for the disease. Their initiatives aim to educate public policy leaders of the need for greater resources for lung cancer research while changing the face of lung cancer and reducing the stigma associated with the disease. They also offer patient education and support programs focused on helping people directly affected by lung cancer.

LUNG CANCER ATLAS

The Lung Cancer Atlas is an online tool that shows the estimated prevalence of lung cancer for the country, individual states, and federal and state legislative districts. The Atlas also maps lung cancer by age, gender, and race/ethnicity.

LUNGEVITY FOUNDATION

LUNGevity Foundation works to have a meaningful and immediate impact on improving lung cancer survival rates, ensure a higher quality of life for lung cancer patients, and provide a community for those impacted by lung cancer.

LUNG CANCER CARING AMBASSADORS PROGRAM

The mission of the Lung Cancer Caring Ambassadors Program is to encourage people with lung cancer to take an active role in their own healthcare, and to help improve the lives of those affected by lung cancer through advocacy, information, and support.

Lungcancer.org is a program of CancerCare, a national nonprofit organization that provides free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved.

NATIONAL LUNG CANCER PARTNERSHIP

National Lung Cancer Partnership (formerly Women Against Lung Cancer) is the only national lung cancer organization founded by physicians and researchers dedicated to decreasing deaths due to lung cancer. The Partnership is working to help patients live longer and better through research, awareness and advocacy.

UNITING AGAINST LUNG CANCER

Uniting Against Lung Cancer (UALC) is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative research that enables patients, smokers and non-smokers alike, to win their battles with lung cancer and live healthy, cancer-free lives years after diagnosis. With partners around the country, they raise awareness of the facts of lung cancer in order to eliminate the stigma that surrounds the disease and raise critical funds for research.
