Brittany’s Battle is a foundation started in honor of Brittany Elizabeth Coppedge, a college sophomore, 13 year competitive gymnast, and a non-smoker who lost her battle to lung cancer at the age of 19. Their mission is to raise awareness, provide support for other families as they fight their own battle with cancer, and to raise desperately needed research dollars. Brittany’s Battle seeks to provide support to the UNC Cancer Hospital and Children’s Hospital, the Chapel Hill Ronald McDonald house, and families who send them a completed Application for Assistance. They may provide assistance with housing expenses, travel assistance, auto repairs, special clothing needs, etc.
