Rachel Schwartz


Rachel Schwartz is the founder and owner of PR AdvantEDGE, Inc. She has spent the last 20 years as a communications professional specializing in media, community, government and foreign relations. Representing high-profile clients and organizations in both the for and non-profit world for the last decade at her public relations agency, Rachel has a successful track record working with her clients to turn complex issues into compelling stories. She has built national and international media platforms for her clients and their causes, enabling them to establish and build their brand, and influence and frame issues via media advocacy, community outreach and integrated marketing campaigns. Many of these clients are now considered leaders in their respective fields and have been placed in hundreds of media outlets. Her clients serve as columnists and expert sources for local, national and international print, broadcast and web-based news media and entertainment productions worldwide.

Rachel is a former Director of International Relations and Leadership/Board Development at the Los Angeles office of the AJC, the USA’s oldest human relations organization. Rachel worked closely with the largest diplomatic corps outside New York and Washington, DC, and helped raise the profile of the AJC nationally and internationally. She developed and marketed numerous programs, coalitions and partnerships with key diplomats, consulates, media representatives, community and political leaders, and lay board members. She was a legislative and policy analyst at the California Newspaper Service Bureau responsible for assessing the public policy and fiscal impact of hundreds of new laws, and drafting alternate language to fight numerous proposed bills for client organizations. She also took the unprecedented step of turning the legislative affairs department into an income-producing division, which garnered several hundred thousand dollars in its implementation year for CNSB.

Rachel is a Political Science graduate from the University of California at Berkeley. She has also completed several certificate programs in the area of Government Relations, Legislative Procedures, Advocacy & Committee Protocol, and State & Federal Lobbying Strategy. Rachel, who resides with her husband, Charles, in Santa Monica, California, has lived on three continents and is multi-lingual.
