Cindy Iker joined Lung Cancer Foundation of America early in 2011 to help support the organization’s administration and operations. Although relatively new to the lung cancer world, Cindy has many years of experience in nonprofit operations working with various K-12 education organizations.
Cindy began her professional life as an elementary vocal music educator. Her career path then led her through various positions in the IT departments of large auto manufacturers, utilities and financial institutions before bringing her to lung cancer research and LCFA.
Cindy earned her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Minnesota and did Post Bachelor work in computer science at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She resides in Los Angeles with her family.
