Beth Ida Stern

Executive Director

Beth Ida Stern joined the Lung Cancer Foundation of America as Executive Director on February 1, 2013. She returns to the world of lung cancer after helming LUNGevity Foundation from 2007 to 2010, during which the organization became the fastest growing charity in the country.

Beth entered the world of lung cancer after her beloved aunt, Jane Grier, died from the disease on Mother’s Day, 2006. Prior to her experience in the nonprofit sector, she held a variety of management positions in the for-profit world, including the apparel, media production, and K-12 educational domains.

Beth earned her Bachelors of Arts in psychology from the University of Michigan and her Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University, with a triple major in marketing, management and strategy, and organization behavior. She resides in Los Angeles with her two dogs, Pubert and Tinkerbell.
