5th Annual kingfisher Memorial Volleyball Tournament
A day to have fun, raise money for LCFA and to remember and honor our dear friend Clark Fisher. This will be 5th annual event. So far we have raised over $15,000 for the LCFA.
Clark Fisher, an athlete and a non-smoker, was diagnosed with lung cancer in early 2009. On November 12, 2009, he lost his battle with this disease. To honor his memory, friends of Clark Fisher started the Clark E. Fisher Memorial and the Kingfisher Memorial Volleyball Tournament became an annual event.
Volleyball created a special bond between my dad, brother and me early in life. The love that we had for the game brought the three of us together like best friends. We spent countless hours peppering in our backyard, traveling to tournaments around the country and setting the net up on weekends to play doubles. The memories I have with my Dad and the times we spent on the court I’ll cherish forever. The Kingfisher Open will continue his legacy and his love for the game. My brother and I are sincerely thankful to everyone participating in the event and making it possible. Let’s not forget the bonds volleyball has brought to us all. ~Ryan and Michael Fisher
During the day of the tournament we will be selling food, t-shirts and other merchandise. There will also be merchandise being raffled off throughout the day, with proceeds from all sales being donated.
For all you volleyball and non players, please donate to the cause. visit: www.kingfishervolleyball.com
