No Evidence of Lung Cancer

Hope your Thanksgiving break was good.

Mine was especially good. Scans were good. Very good. No evidence of cancer anywhere. The lesion in the liver that we were worried about was described as a benign tumor. Focal Nodular Hyperplasia. To me, it doesn’t matter what they call it other than it’s not cancer. The lung was described as stable scarring. Nothing active. Wow!

That report changes every thing. It gives me permission to continue to live life as is. No interruptions at this point. I visited with my doctor yesterday and could tell he was very pleased, pleasantly surprised–it’s a good feeling.

Now, I can decorate our home for Christmas. I can think about something other that the next game plan- the next fight strategy, the next attack. All of that can all be saved for another time– or maybe never. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll never have to think about it again. If only…

It’s close enough after scan day I can dream.
