Dedicated to Michael Tepsic and his fight with Small-Cell Lung Cancer
During National Lung Cancer Awareness month, Lung Cancer Foundation of America is proud to welcome this very active Mother/Daughters team to the LCFA family:
On Saturday, November 9th, Michael’s three daughters, Ali 14, Brittany 16 and Cassie 21 hosted an unbelievably successful Polish Off Lung Cancer Fundraiser at the Delray Beach Green Market. This was their first fundraiser in support of Lung Cancer.
The girls followed their amazing first event up with another Polish Off Lung Cancer Fundaiser on Sunday, November 17th at the Royal Palm Beach Green Market from 9am -1pm. The plan is to make these annual events dedicated to their father and the search for a cure.
Please support these loving and dedicated LCFA volunteers. Make a donation to their fundraiser at: https://lcfamerica.myetap.org/fundraiser/FloridaPolishOff/
On Saturday, September 21, 2013, on what would have been her Father’s 69th birthday, Brittany Fackrell hosted a zumbathon, concert and raffle to raise money for Lung Cancer Foundation of America.
Brittany exceeded her fundraising goal with this innovative and unique fundraiser – and it looks like it was a lot of fun, too!

In 2010, friends of Clark Fisher started the Clark E. Fisher Memorial and the 1st Annual Kingfisher Open Memorial Volleyball Tournament. Since then they’ve raised over $31,000 to help local cancer patients and support lung cancer research.
Clark Fisher, an athlete and a non-smoker, was diagnosed with lung cancer in early 2009. On November 12, 2009, he lost his battle with this disease.
Continuing in their altruistic tradition, the Friends of Clark E. Fisher hosted their 4th Annual Kingfisher Open Memorial Volleyball Tournament, sponsored by Apple Automotive, on July 27, 2013 at Hoffman Memorial Complex, Vander Ave., York,PA 17403. Proceeds of the tournament were donated to Lung Cancer Foundation of America and to an Engineering Student Award at Penn State York.
On Saturday, July 20, 2013, Michael Pascucci completed a 74 mile bike ride from Poughkeepsie, NY to The Bronx in honor of his mother Geraldine – affectionately known as Jay to those closest to her. Jay fought her battle with lung cancer as long as her will would allow, but after 2 years, she lost her fight.
Michael chose to undertake this mega-ride to honor his mother and to aid LCFA in funding the transformative science that leads to a cure in the hopes that other families can avoid the devastating heartache that this disease can bring. Poignantly, his ride ended at the apartment building where his Mom grew up on Crotona Ave. in the Bronx.
Michael is planning to repeat his ride next May. You can support Michael’s efforts at any time by donating to his fundraiser at: https://lcfamerica.myetap.org/fundraiser/michael_pascucci/
Abe’s Angels Spaghetti Dinner, held on June 9, 2013 raised over $2,000.00 for lung cancer research! What a triumph for LCFA volunteer Peggy Abe as well as for lung cancer research and LCFA!
Thank you, Peggy, and all those great Spaghetti Diners! Your efforts and participation are greatly appreciated!

LCFA is very fortunate to have even more young philanthropists who are making a huge effort to raise funds for lung cancer research. Dan & Deven, 7th Graders at Del Mar Middle School in Tiburon, CA hosted their first a golf tournament to raise funds for lung cancer research and LCFA. The tournament took place on June 1, 2013 at StoneTree Golf Club, Novato, CA.
Thank you Dan and Deven!
